The Powerhaul locomotive was designed to target the medium weight market. It utilizes a best in class fuel consuming engine which meets EU IIIA emissions with proven traction technology to deliver a world class performance locomotive.
The Powerhaul locomotive is designed with haulage in mind. With the engine and the ability to haul with 600 kN of starting tractive effort, it has the ability to haul the toughest loads over the hardest terrain. The AC traction system and individual axle control are designed for increased reliability and tractive effort. The cab is designed with the help of locomotive drivers to provide the safest and most ergonomic design.
