HATCH COVER SYSTEMS
Wabtec's 30” round covers are available in steel, aluminum, and fiberglass with multiple hardware configurations. In addition to the traditional single hinge cover design, we offer a proprietary dual hinge design. The dual hinge cover has two fixed pivoting locations significantly reducing lateral movement, improving lock tab and gasket alignment, and reducing the overall back and forth play when operating the covers.
Fiberglass and aluminum dual hinge designs, are equipped with a camberator, located on the underside of the covers. This device allows the cover to be precision adjusted to match the curvature of a warped coaming ring, ensuring uniform gasket compression.
