Cylindrical Fenders
For use where tidal conditions exist and flexible mounting is needed
Cylindrical fenders are normally used where tidal conditions exist and flexible mounting is desired. Usually suspended on a chain or festooned for easy installation, however their inherent lateral flexibility provides a wide range of alternative mounting options:
- Draped, suspended, or strung on chains to provide protection through tidal changes or where substantial vessel draft variations are anticipated
- Use with a metal bar through the bore to provide lateral stiffness where straight mounting is desired
- May also be curved to meet special contours on structures or vessels.
